Salary Range: $35,600 - $47,500
Provide administrative support to various litigation attorneys within the Law Department.
Work closely with other administrative assistants and paralegals to support the Law Department. Strong preference for someone with significant experience in a litigation-support role.
General duties include litigation-support activities (work associated with discovery and pleadings, electronic filing, case management, calendaring, and the like), communication with multiple outside counsel and client personnel, telephone coverage, meeting and travel arrangements, maintaining itineraries, coordinating and maintaining appointment schedules, disseminating and distributing mail for appropriate action, following up on status and responses, requesting and disseminating due diligence materials, ordering and maintaining supplies and library materials, and creating and maintaining files for the Law Department.
Create, maintain, adjust, and update case budgets, assist with creating presentations, creating and maintaining files for pleadings and other filings, and creating and editing letters and other documents.
Process expense reports.
Interact with internal and external customers to resolve problems and/or handle requests for information.
Provide support, as needed, to other administrative assistants and paralegals.
Must have AT LEAST TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE as a LEGAL SECRETARY or LEGAL ASSISTANT.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Must possess excellent computer skills: i.e., Microsoft Office, word-processing (exemplary understanding of Microsoft Word a must), Excel, PowerPoint, budgeting systems, etc.
Must be able to handle confidential matters discreetly, work effectively in a team environment with all levels of personnel, including senior management (internal and external).
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as this position will support several attorneys within the Law Department.
Requires attention to detail.
Requires the ability to work occasionally beyond normal "core business hours" to meet deadlines on an as-needed basis.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PASSED OR BE ABLE TO PASS THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ASSESSMENT. IF A CANDIDATE HAS FAILED THE ASSESSMENT WITHIN THE LAST SIX MONTHS, THE CANDIDATE IS INELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION.
College degree highly preferred.
