CONTRACT MANAGER
Old National Bank has an outstanding opportunity for a Contract Manager who will handle mainly lease contracts.  This opportunity is a good fit for an attorney with contract negotiating experience who is looking for a more family friendly work environment.   The Contract Manager is responsible for building and maintaining the Contract Management service offering within the Procurement Services unit, including managing the contract life cycle which includes the negotiation of terms and conditions, changes and modifications and the enforcement of performance clauses, including penalties and incentives. The Contract Manager at Old National Bank will work extensively within the three primary disciplines of Procurement Services:  sourcing; buying; and vendor management as well as with internal customers, legal and accounting to ensure effective contract administration and that an accurate, appropriate document is created to memorialize the vendor agreement.  This role requires extensive interactions with business leaders to include:  the office of the CIO and IT manager, CBO, CFO, application managers, program and project managers and strategy and planning business units throughout the organization.  Contracts can range from IT products and services to highly complex outsourcing relationships with multiple vendors, contracts, and contract schedules. In addition to vendor contracts, the Contract Manager is responsible for all real estate leases and their life cycle management.  As such, the Contract Manager will have a close working relationship with the Facilities Management Team. Specific Responsibilities:Key contact and life cycle owner for all ONB real estate leases and support vendor contract management life cycle ownership. Subject matter expert to include developing and negotiating contract terms, conditions, modifications, penalties, and incentives. Work collaboratively, sometimes leading and other times supporting development of statements of work (SOWs), and Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotations (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) as well as managing the contract development and negotiation process for sourcing and procurement initiatives. Establish/maintain contract management objectives, procedures, templates and workflow processes for vendor contracts and deliverable schedules. Help facilitate with Vendor Management a contract register containing a database of all executed contracts. Understand contracting marketing trends. Principle contract negotiator for all strategic contracts. Develop a knowledge base of negotiating strategies, best practices, and negotiation personnel and teams. Develop and execute formal training and contract auditing practices and processes. Administer commercial and financial arrangements with vendors to include billing, invoicing, performance/penalty adjustments and internal chargebacks where appropriate. Qualifications:Bachelors degree in business, law or related field of study.  JD preferred. 5+ years of experience negotiating and managing contract life cycles with an emphasis on financial services, technology, IT service agreements. Experience working with legal and procurement staff. Knowledge of procurement and vendor management practices and certifications. Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) by the National Contract Management Association is preferred; but not required. Strong ability to communicate with IT users, legal and procurement staff, and business leaders to craft contracts that align complex needs with contractual requirements to achieve business outcomes. Ability to determine contractual and financial exposure and negotiate contracts and to participate in the development of the asset management mission, goals and objectives. Knowledge of best practices for contract negotiation tactics and strategies. Knowledge of contracting trends, licensing models and traditional and emerging contract and vendor performance models. Ability to understand contract risks.
