Executes administrative details and provides administrative support to the Senior Day Supervisor and Program Director, as well as site staff.

All instructors support individual’s character, choices, strengths, interests and needs.

Ensures the health, safety and well-being of individuals



  • Provides administrative support to the Senior Day Supervisor and Program Director, along with other site staff.
  • Coordinates all administrative data for the site, i.e. attendance/ billing / transportation for consumers. Complies and maintains accurate records as required by regulations and agency procedure.
  • Serves as receptionist for site.
  • Screens calls, and responds to requests for information from staff, outside persons or agencies.
  • Secures requested information on departmental matters from other staff, departments, and agencies.
  • Maintains system of monitoring program/individual related expenses and income.
  • Maintains a system of monitoring community outing information.
  • Follows up on all correspondence, maintains a filing system for the SDS/PD and takes minutes for regular weekly and monthly meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Fosters independence of individuals through planned activities and ensures appropriate documentation.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of community activities.
  • Completes required documentation promptly and accurately. Provides status reports on implementation.
  • Ensures supplies are available to meet individual needs.
  • Attends/participates in general staff meetings, in-service training and other pertinent agency and community program meetings.
  • Performs CPR and Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R).
  • Responsible for recording time worked at the start and end of each shift.
  • Complies with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                              

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • NYS Driver’s License that meets agency policy.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position when performing the following: Standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
  • Ability to move, reposition, and place individuals in pieces of equipment.
  • Lifting requirement of 35 lbs.
  • Physical agility and ability to react to emergency situations, including Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R) certification as per regulatory guidelines.
  • CPR certification requirements.
