Job Description

 Excellent opportunity open due to an internal promotion.  This is a company that is diversified and growing!  They have grown to over 3000 employees across the United States.  This role will be in a "shared services" organization and reporting to the Director of IT.  This is a highly visible role that will interact with all levels of the organization. 


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the review of project requests and the subsequent design, development, testing and implementation of approved software solutions to meet the needs of users and stakeholders.
  • Assign and monitor Projects by conducting regular and periodic status meetings to review project status, project timeline, troubleshoot project roadblocks, and provide project updates to management.
  • Ensures development output is functional while creating a positive user experience.
  • Conduct, supervise and coordinate the maintenance of the database servers’ software. Provide backup user support for software, hardware and network issues as necessary.
  • Responsible for hiring, conducting performance & salary reviews, mentoring and facilitating employee development in order for the department to help support the various companies’ strategic plans and initiatives.

  • Works with appropriate personnel to ensure the selection of the best technology to achieve the desired outcome. Actively pursues continuous improvement by analyzing current processes and procedures to ensure the most productive technology methods are adapted and utilized.
  • Creates and maintains needed training materials for supported applications. Delivers the level of training required to ensure the highest level of understanding for the targeted user community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with an extensive working knowledge of computer application development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in the following areas:
    • SQL Server and T/SQL
    • Managing SDLC process
    • Interactive .NET programming techniques using VB and C#, Database, File I/O, FTP communication and Form Design
    • Mobile Application Development techniques
    • Maintaining and supporting ERP environment
