Who you’ll be working with:

  • Report to the Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement
  • Work in a lab, office, and manufacturing environment

 

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Process Engineer jobs provide specialized expertise needed to maintain and improve production efficiencies and quality.
  • Support new product introductions and participate in the development process.
  • Process Engineer jobs also provide expert chemistry and process advice and recommendations to the team and key operations leadership to help solve problems and deliver results on schedule.
  • Participate in Lean events, identify opportunities for improvement, and insure root cause solutions are identified and implemented.  
  • Establish optimum processes to enhance the manufacture of products to quality specifications.  This will include sharing of best practices across facilities.
  • Use your creative ideas to practice through the preparation of experimental formulas, applications, prototypes, etc.
  • Provide technical support to the plants to resolve production disruptions ensuring solutions are sustained.
  • Design methods to increase process efficiencies, cost, yield, and quality.
  • Subject Matter Expert for Lean efforts, such as Kaizen events, where an emphasis is placed on creativity before capital investment.
  • Balances costs and benefits with process effectiveness.
  • Providing clear guidance to management on the impact of process changes and equipment modifications.
  • Use knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and potential to develop new products and processes.
  • Select and implement raw material substitution projects.
  • 25-40% travel.

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Chemistry degree, Chemical Engineering degree, or other related discipline; Bachelor's required
  • Some experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with statistical analysis, Minitab or other statistical software, DOE and Six Sigma
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify business priorities and the ability to organize work activities through effective scheduling
  • Project management skills, including the ability to define problems, lead teams, prioritize tasks, and deliver results
  • Strong communication skills are required to communicate acquired knowledge to technical staff and business leadership

Process Engineer Salary: $59,000 - $92,000 + bonus, based on experience
