Job Description

Title: Customer Services Advisor
Location: Lockport, IL
Contract-To-Hire
Pay Rate: $17/hour plus benefits (health, dental, life insurance, 401K)

Job Summary:

The CSA will input and track orders on a daily basis into Logistics software for the Logistics Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enters orders into Logistics software obtained from sales representatives via phone, fax, e-mail or in person.
  • Coordinate pick up and delivery appointments for orders.
  • Tracks and traces pick up deliveries via phone, e-mail or other communications methods.
  • Enter information into the logistics software and update the order status (picked up / delivered).
  • Keeps load status board up-to-date, follows up on pre-dated shipments to ensure successful deliveries.
  • Reports any issues to the CSS and CREP’s.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills,
  • Knowledge and ability to enter data in to Logistics software.
  • Excellent problem solving and resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure situations.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in order entry or customer service field
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Punctual
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Should be customer service driven
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Able to multi-task

 

Education and/or Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write letters and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all groups of employees, customers, and clients.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have basic computer knowledge.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to

stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle to feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
