Job Description

Sabre is the leading provider of travel technology in the world day.  Our teams engage with our clients and partners every day to reimagine the future of travel.

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead our efforts where it matters most - with our strategic clients (for example JetBlue, Alaska Airlines, and Southwest Airlines).  The Directors primary role is to build strategic relationships, identify and progress high value opportunities, and to establish long term strategy with the client.  The Director leads Sabre in all aspects of the client engagement with a particular focus on C-Level relationships.  The successful Director will have the following qualities:

The successful Director of Strategic Accounts will demonstrate the following skills:


  • Proven track record to build C level and senior executive relationships with clients
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of driving successful outcomes
  • Proficient skills with today’s productivity software (MS Office, CRM, and Pipeline Management tools).
  • Airline industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement.  We are seeking those who have successful enterprise sales and Account Management experience and who believe they can apply those skills to any industry.
  • Ability to learn a diverse set of products, technology and services so that the value proposition can be presented to customers in an interesting and engaging way
  • Ability to coach and mentor a team of 5 to 10 people, and to guide them in terms of their customer focus and ability to sell solutions to senior and mid-level executives at our airline customers
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in technology sales and account management. Airline industry experience a plus, but not a required. Must possess advanced computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
