Embedded Linux Software Engineer

We are currently seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer with experience developing user interface software for embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; or equivalent training and professional experience as well as a minimum 2 years of experience in developing embedded user interface software. Experience in the development and optimization of OpenGL ES based embedded display applications is preferred. Travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads efforts to plan, design, develop, test, and document software and art for new embedded products, new features, customer demonstrations, and program development.
  • Ensures software deliverables are designed and developed in accordance with customer requirements, internal standards, and certification requirements.
  • Interfaces with the customer and certification auditors for design reviews and acceptance or approval of all deliverables.
  • Develops and maintains project schedules using Microsoft Project or equivalent software tools.
  • Generates deliverable management documentation and work products as required by a contract or certification standard.
  • Leads a large development team or actively participates as part of a development team.
  • Coordinates activities between multiple development teams.
  • Uses technical innovations to improve individual and team processes and code development.​
