Field Applications Specialist II – Simply Biotech

OVERVIEW

Immediate opening for a Field Applications Specialist II in Dallas, TX who possesses:

  • BA/BS degree in biological sciences or chemistry. Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist degrees a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years instrumentation experience working as field application/technical support re
  • Immunology background with firm understanding of immunoassays and the interaction between antibodies and antigens
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel 75%; must live close to a major airport (45 min)

FULL DESCRIPTION:The Field Application Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and customer service to both current and potential customers. Candidate must live near a major airport. Ideal location: Dallas, TX.

The selected candidate will further possess:

  • BA/BS in a Biological Science or equivalent education with experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' instrumentation experience in a clinical laboratory or experience working as field application/technical support rep
  • Must be able to travel Monday through Friday as required and not be restricted from travel to Canada. Occasional weekend travel may be required
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Perform installations, training, and validations on our chemistry analyzers (SPAPlus and Optilite)
  • Perform Freelite validations on current and future non-Company instruments. Current non-Company instruments are Siemens BNII and Roche Cobas.
  • Provide onsite technical support with Company Engineers and Technical Service personnel
  • Perform technical presentation at customer sites to prospective customers or at the National Sales Meeting
  • Assist salespeople and customers with writing protocols for Company and non-Company assays and performing workflow analysis
  • Ensure correct documentation for product complaints
  • Provide on-call support before and/or after hours as required by the Department
  • Provide feedback to Company on product performance with suggestions for product improvement and new product development
