PURPOSE: Business process project manager who drives complex change management initiatives by defining, measuring, planning, leading and directing cross-functional enterprise projects across multiple business processes and/or business divisions.Lead business transformation initiatives consistent with strong internal controls and according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


  • Use formal project management methods to initiate and execute medium, complex projects while effectively using communication skills to mediate conflict (60%).
  • Identify business opportunities, develop approaches to resolve them, and work with leadership to prioritize the implementation (15%).
  • Manage the relationship with the sponsor(s) and key stakeholders to ensure common agreement of scope, deliverables and trade-offs from initiation to closure (15%).
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members - provide ongoing feedback throughout project cycle (10%).
  • Provides work direction and performance feedback to functional process designers and leads medium complexity, functional or cross-functional projects. Secures resources to effectively support objectives of projects including hiring of contractors and management of expenses and performance.Responsible for escalating issues to appropriate functional leadership as well as project stakeholders and executive sponsors, where appropriate.Mediate conflict and uncover hidden or unspoken issues and concerns that teams may be reluctant to share.

PMP certification is preferred and will be required to complete within 6-12 months after start date.

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Admin or related field. 10 or more years of related experience and/or training. 5-7 years project experience, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification is preferred and will be required to complete within 6-12 months after start date.
  • Advanced understanding of complex accounting practices, processes, and principles.

  • Experience with leading or implementing financial business process change on business unit projects with complex, medium scope and impact.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to express project technical concepts in business terms.

  • Demonstrated progress toward formal project management training, experience or certifications: PMI, PMBOK, business architecture, process design, etc.

  • Experienced facilitator with expertise in leading individual work groups and high-performance teams.

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated change and conflict management skills.
