Job Description

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual English/Spanish-speaking preferred) is responsible for supporting the entire lifecycle of our employee client population. This includes, but is not limited to, processing pre-employment screening (e.g. background checks, motor vehicle results, drug screens); coordinating new hire and client on-boarding procedures via HRIS; conducting new hire orientations; developing and maintaining exit interview protocol; processing unemployment insurance claims; and creating reports/analyzing data pertaining to active employee audits, headcount, and turnover.

 

Essential Functions:

Employee Relations Support

· Serve as back up contact for employees related to policies, procedures, and HRIS

· Support and assist HR Specialists with HR investigations, documentation, follow up

· Assist clients with legal compliance inquiries by monitoring applicable employment laws and regulations

Training and Development Support

· Coordinate cross-training needs amongst department

· Collaborate with HR Specialists to ensure HR projects are completed in a timely manner, which may include:

o Tracking training attendance in HRIS

o Creating draft job descriptions and employee manuals

o Maintaining employee manual updates via administrative tasks

o Attending related trainings and Client meetings as needed

Facilitate and implement the functionality of HRIS Performance Management module, SkillSoft, and Exit Surveys including:

· Coordinating outcomes/results with HR Specialists and Clients

· Analyzing output data

· Providing insight and guidance for talent development including, performance management, annual reviews, and training

· Assist with and/or coordinate ad-hoc projects and assignments

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years work experience within human resources
  • Must have excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Professional and adaptable bi-lingual communication skills (Spanish/English verbal and written) and building rapport with individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Must have excellent technological skills and be familiar with a variety of HRIS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PC Skills: MS Office Word, MS Office Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Human Resource Management (preferred), or a related field.
