Job Summary

The ERP Lead position is responsible for providing a single point of accountability to deliver ERP IT solutions/services (SAP / JDE), provides people leadership on IT engagement processes, provides thought leadership on strategic direction (business & IT), and provides results leadership that ensures successful delivery of IT solutions & services (including support).  This includes working with stakeholders and to ensure that systems are documented/delivered appropriately, directing technical architecture of solutions, and standardizing and improving team processes and procedures.  The position drives business transformations leveraging ERPs (JDE transitioning to SAP) and other leading applications in business functions of Sales and Finance which encompasses Sales Order Management, Sales Execution, Pricing, Vehicle Management System, Finance and Controlling and settlements/floor planning with AGCO Finance.


Job Function and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of JDE transitioning to SAP resources (internal and consultants) as direct and matrix reporting relationships in project delivery and support environments.
  • Work and lead in multiple geographies primarily NA, ensuring processes are implemented, enhanced, and supported and aligned with both IT and business leaders’ requirements and expectations within the defined functional stream (primarily accounting, finance, sales & marketing.
  • Recommend and prepare documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, configuration and master data maintenance that can be handled by the helpdesk, super user or second level IT support organizations.
  • Lead execution of tasks to achieve scope, schedule, financial, and quality commitments.
  • Lead the assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of proposed analytical solutions and provides appropriate recommendations based on industry trends, internal benchmarking, and vendor relationships.
  • Lead and contribute to establishing service metrics and monitoring the system for performance, availability, resource productivity, quality of deliverables, service and license management.
  • Provide technical guidance to coach and mentor junior staff to build technical expertise and share knowledge.
  • Ensure individual and team compliance with all AGCO policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley, IT and Security.  Follow established governance processes and standards.                                                                            
    FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in supporting opportunity and business case development, business process re-engineering, organizational change management, transition planning, system development lifecycles, program/project management and fielding of business applications in a large scale enterprise with complex organizational and IT structures.
  • Advanced knowledge of the following:
    • How to link business processes to enterprise strategy
    • IT industry best practices as well as technical trends and patterns fr potential business requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of the following:
    • Working with technology vendors and offshore development teams in the delivery of enterprise solutions
    • IT Change Management Process
    • Project Management
  • Good  working knowledge of the following:
    • Day-t-day operational environment locally, regionally and  globally
    • All systems being supported and their impact on the business both regionally and globally
    • The rules and responsibilities of the key IT staff members regionally and globally
    • HR policies impacting their staff
  • Deep expertise in one or more specialties with broad knowledge across a wide spectrum of industry technologies.
  • Previous experience with Mobile, ERP, and other large system deployment is a plus.

BUSINESS EXPERTISE

  • Detailed understanding of the business areas supported (accounting, finance, sales & marketing) by the systems is required to ensure solutions meet true business needs and requirements.
  • Agricultural experience is a plus.
  • Discreet Manufacturing experience is preferred plus.
  • Global company experience is a plus.
  • Master’s degree is preferred

ESSENTIALSKILLS:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 15-20 years of progressive IT experience
  • Computer Science or Information Technology Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with multiple levels of IT and business management.
  • Successfully influences diverse groups and teams in a complex, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment to deliver value-added solutions.
  • Expert in advanced writing, verbal and other presentation skills.
  • Show leadership with a cooperative management style
  • Leads through coaching and mentoring of team members
  • Communication to internal and external management stakeholders within AGCO
  • Management of global resources (global delivery)
