SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Lead Sales Associate is responsible for providing world class guest service while ensuring training and work productivity for all sales associates within their section as well as being self motivated when working alone. They must keep an efficient flow of rental check-out through the cash/wrap, efficient selection/set-up of rental equipment, accurately complete all refunds/exchanges, maintain a tremendous level of organization, cleanliness and receive and restock retail products.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enthusiastically engage with every guest to ensure that they feel: happy, relaxed, safe and excited
  • Keep pace in a high energy, extremely fast environment
  • Accurate and efficient cash handling and processing of all retail and rental sales
  • Efficiently and accurately fit/adjust skis, boots, boards and bindings for rental check-out and return
  • Complete sales transactions by accurately and efficiently ringing up customer sales
  • Responsible for following all company standards in regards to paperwork, cash management and loss prevention standards
  • Ensure an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area by placing hangers. sensors, returned items, and paperwork in appropriate and designed locations
  • Assist with in-store merchandise shipping and receiving
  • Answer store phones courteously and professionally
  • Call for additional assistance if a line develops to ensure proper guest satisfaction
  • Assist in on boarding and training of new employees in POS, product knowledge, guest service, and sales
  • Assist Store Manager in communicating company values and goals to the employees Assist Managers in the training of new sales associates for assigned department
  • Follow all company standards in regards to paperwork, cash management and loss prevention
  • Provide an enthusiastic and professional level of customer service at all times
  • Assist in maintaining and administering operational expectations by following company policies and guidelines
  • Maintain and model high retail, merchandising and cleanliness standards as set forth by the Store and Regional Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • English fluency
  • Be able to kneel and stand repeatedly as well as be able to be on your feet all day
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Consistently positive attitude
  • Snow sports experience (preferred)
  • Retail/hospitality experience (highly preferred)

 

FULL & PART-TIME SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full-time: 32 or more hours a week on average for the Season
  • Part-time: minimum of 3 shifts a week (Saturday required), 15-20 hours a week on average for the Season
  • Must work all holidays
