Job Description

Are you looking for a position with stability? Are you reliable? Nesco Resource has the position for you. We are currently sourcing for a Leader Machine Operator. The ideal person will be able to perform these duties.

Leader is responsible for the start up of the shop/shift; all departments. Oversees departments and machine operators for the assigned shift. Effectively plans and implements work for assigned production and ensures parts; materials and Machine Operators are available to perform the work. Provides other support to production and management as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for overseeing the production, training, and safety of all plant, hourly employees.
  • Set-up machines as necessary for production throughout the shift.
  • Operate machines for daily operations.
  • Ensure required materials for processes are ordered and on hand for daily operations.
  • Order in-direct plant supplies.
  • Rebuild/repair, maintain machines and equipment as needed; order supplies to support rebuild/repairs and or maintenance.
  • Raw Material inventory, weigh & tally all inventory items on shop floor at the end of every month.
  • Responsible for monitoring material and labor usage to ensure effective use of these resources.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION QUALIFICATION:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
Physical Demands:
Light to moderate physical effort required.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety Glasses and ear protection must be worn at all times.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a Plant environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

One to two years related experience and/or training.
