AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Controls Technician to join our team in Hesston, KS.  The Manufacturing Engineer Controls Technician will report to the Senior Manager Operations.  The ME Controls Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of our paint system, working as part of a team to troubleshoot, monitor, and fix the system as needed.   We are able to provide on the job training and are open to hiring entry level candidates who are seeking to start their career working with manufacturing system PLCs and has the ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 10:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays.

What Will You Do?

  • Monitor control functions within paint system
  • Fix logistical / control errors within the paint system as required
  • Respond to service calls and trouble shoot any equipment issues



Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience working with PLCs (programmable logic controllers)


  • Associates Degree with 1+ years of technical work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer understanding of Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Understanding of PLC logic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a flex work shift in order to utilize system down time for program run off/correction
  • Ability to travel as required for training
  • Good communication skills
