Job Description

Job responsibilities:

  • Jobsite management of commercial HVAC construction projects with a contract value of $1M and up. Typical scopes included new build and renovation in the following sectors: multi-family, hospitality, education, government, tenant fit-outs and other specialty projects.
  • From pre-con to punch list, ensure that the job is delivered on-time and under budget.
  • With assistance from your project management team, accurately account for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other costs throughout the duration of your project.
  • Identify scope and cost of change orders, write, submit and track RFI's.
  • Oversee field coordination with the architect, engineer, GC, and other trades in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate labor needs with AMSI and subcontractors throughout the duration of each project.
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with key owners, developers, architects, engineers and general contractors.
  • Communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing.
  • Be on time, treat people with respect, and work hard.

Education, Experience & Certifications:

  • Strong experience and knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including duct work, piping systems, and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, engineering standards, and mechanical codes.
  • Strong experience with and understanding of engineered MEP drawings and specifications.
  • Strong background in onsite construction management, specifically the following processes: submittals, RFIs, change orders, construction schedules, phasing, punch lists, and more.
  • Be detail oriented and deadline-driven.
  • Team management and leadership skills; able to manage relationships with a positive and professional attitude. Manage expectations and delivery goals every step of the way.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Maintain a high energy level to handle a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven work load in a competitive construction market.
