Working Title: CLINICAL DIRECTOR (Operations Manager C SES)

THIS IS A SELECTED EXEMPT SERVICE POSITION

 

 

Description

 

This is professional work that leads, manages, and supervises Psychology Services/Clinical Services staff at Sunland Marianna. Conducts, reviews, and prepares evaluations on a scheduled basis or as needs dictate for all three units under the umbrella of Intermediate Care Facilities. Supervises clinical support staff. Ability to document and ensure documentation is completed as required.

 

In addition to the above completion of evaluation, management, and development of programming, the individual chosen for this position must complete the following duties:

 

  • Provide consultation to all programs on the campus of Sunland-Marianna
  • Testify on court cases for Sunland residents
  • Conduct case reviews as deemed necessary on the campus of Marianna-Sunland
  • Participate on work groups. Present to work groups.
  • Consult with Interdisciplinary Teams
  • Consult with Legal Services on upcoming cases either as scheduled or because of interaction with the Court.
  • Manage the referral process for Psychology Services at the Sunland Center.
  • Provide training to all staff at all programs as requested or required.
  • Discuss Legal Statutes, Court reports, etc. with Legal Guardians, Guardian Advocates, and families.
  • Provide oversight of the therapy program in terms of Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
  • Manage any budget requests or consultations for Psychology Services.
  • Advertise, recruit, sort, review, and interview for open staff positions at both campuses
  • Review work products of direct reports
  • Conduct formal and informal meetings with staff
  • Review and approve timesheets for all direct reports
  • Perform any other duties as required or requested by the Superintendent.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA accredited University or College. Must be currently licensed to practice psychology in the State of Florida. OR

 

Possess a master’s degree in psychology, behavioral analysis, social work, or related field from an accredited University or College. Must be currently licensed (i.e., LMHC/LSCW) in the State of Florida. AND must possess 3 years professional related work experience.

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:

  • Ability to lead, manage, and supervise a large multidisciplinary team of individuals, including therapists, addiction professionals, instructors, first line supervisors, master/doctoral level clinicians, and licensed psychologists.
  • Working knowledge of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of the theories and principles of clinical, counseling and forensic psychology
  • Knowledge of psychological testing and forensic evaluation principles and practices.
  • Ability to administer and interpret psychological tests.
  • Ability to prepare psychological reports to the Court, the facilities, or outside third parties.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret psychological data.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
