Who we're looking for
Toyota's Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Specialist.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide engineering support in the project planning phase to ensure safe and reliable process for TMMAL Team Members.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager the person in this role will support the Production Engineering department's objective to support the overall success of the company.
What you'll be doing
  • Responsible for New Model Project planning and implementation
  • Manage line support process improvements
  • Work as a part of engineering team, supporting other members activities
  • Lead small working group of TMMAL Production and Maintenance members
  • Coordination and lead of contractors for project implementation
  • Coordination with other NAMC engineers to ensure TMMAL is good UTC contributor
  • Overall project management and implementation of new model projects
  • Project planning of TMMAL lead capital projects ($10k ~ $1M)
  • Provide justification and specification for TMMAL projects
  • Develop standards and specifications to continually improve equipment and processes
  • Understand Production team's needs and develop specifications accordingly
  • Knowledge of machine and process function in order to develop quick countermeasure
  • Create project justification and long-term strategies
  • Create full P-D-C-A project plan to ensure long-term success of project
What you bring
  • Bachelors degree (or higher) or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a project role OR as a manufacturing line support leader (responsible for managing a manufacturing line)
  • Production Engineering experience
Added bonus if you have:
  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Powertrain manufacturing experience
  • Experience in a project management role (responsible for managing a project start to finish, setting and meeting milestones, reporting out to all levels of the company)
  • Line support technical experience
  • Experience with new model introduction at a manufacturing plant
  • Experience with major model change activity at a manufacturing plant
  • Toyota TBP (internal) experience OR related Six Sigma certification
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Toyota manufacturing experience
