The Center for Social Innovation (C4) is a woman-owned, mission-driven small business. C4 is seeking a Project Assistant (PA) to provide administrative support to the Supporting Partnerships for Anti-Racist Communities (SPARC) work and other project teams and leaders. This role will also perform some research assistant duties.



  • Provide coordination and administrative support for training, technical assistance, and data collection, including recruitment; scheduling interviews, focus groups, and site visits; background research; generating reports; and creating and disseminating post-training surveys.
  • Provide administrative support to project staff, including scheduling conference calls and meetings; taking notes at meetings and events; coordinating communication among sites; constructing or preparing presentations; assisting with gathering information for and propagating contracts; and assisting with travel arrangements and reimbursement.
  • Conduct literature searches.
  • Support dissemination activities, including developing content for use on various web-based, email, and social media platforms as well as coordinating with project partners to support cross- marketing.
  • Operate Abode Connect rooms for online meetings. This includes pre-event coordination and testing.
  • Write business correspondence and project reports with close editorial supervision.
  • Participate in proposal preparation/business development by providing support, formatting documents, tracking deadlines and delivery schedules, and assembling materials.
  • Provide backup support for C4 phones.


  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years experience relevant to this position.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to proactively act and operate with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.


Location: The Center for Social Innovation’s main office is in Needham, Massachusetts. We also have employees living across the U.S. The position is a Massachusetts-based position.
