                          Project Manager – Underground Utilities & Road Construction

Our company is growing! We work on underground utility construction and road projects for municipalities and private enterprise. With our ongoing growth, we have a leadership opportunity for a Project Manager.

Job Summary:

The Project Manager has a primary focus of producing the highest job profitability in project management of personally assigned projects and supporting the team process of project management within the Company team. Developing an overall project plan/schedule and getting all stakeholders to buy-in to it is essential to controlling cost and maximizing resources for each project undertaken by the Company.

Project Manager in assigned projects manages relationships/problem-solving with Engineers/Designers, Company superintendents/foremen, Clients and Owners to insure project profitability, cost control, project safety, quality, and effect stakeholder relations for construction projects assigned. Creates project schedule/critical path, managing projects from pre-construction start up to final completion and payment, sustaining utmost profitability and productivity. Ensures timely submission of project documents details to project stakeholders, including securing authorization for payment for all pay estimates and for change orders. Specific areas of responsibility include:

· Pre-project Planning

· Contract Documents

· Project Scheduling

· Safety

· Cost Control

· Project Changes

· Accounts Receivable

· Stakeholder Relations

We are an equal opportunity employer with competitive wages and benefits. The starting salary for the Project Manager is from $70,000 to $100,000 annualized depending on experience.

Required Background & Attributes:

· Four-year college degree in engineering and/or civil construction-management related courses (or commensurate job experience)

· Three to five years of experience in all aspects of civil construction management.

· LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual language fluency helpful but not required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret standard business documents and project plans. Ability to interact effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from owners, inspector, vendors, & employees regarding all business issues & operating concerns. Ability to write effective business letters.

· MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to understand and use intermediate math to calculate figures, percentages and ratios. Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry/algebra as needed.

· COMPUTER SKILLS: Must be computer literate with three to five years of experience using computers in a business environment. Must know and have experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and operations software packages.

· REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

· Team-oriented, Service-oriented, Results-oriented

· Detailed, organized & thorough

· Willing to go the extra mile

· Excellent project management and communication skills.

· Valid Texas Driver’s License

· Work effectively in a fast-paced, fun, professional company environment
