 Wilson Elser’s IT department currently seeks a Real Estate Technology Project Manager to join the team. 

This position can be located in either our NYC Downtown office at 125 Broad Street, or Florham Park, NJ office.

The Position

As an integral part of the Project Management Office, the Project Manager role in the Information Technology department will lead multiple project lifecycles for the Firm’s most strategic programs and project deliverables across all technology areas. Our Project Managers are expected to understand and execute Agile and Hybrid Agile methodologies to successfully manage expectations for all project stakeholders in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment. The Project Management team is expected to seamlessly facilitate and execute Agile ceremonies such as grooming sessions, sprint planning, sprints, scrums, and retrospectives while using JIRA software as their central application for all team and task management. This position is at the helm of transforming 20+ years of legacy technology into a modern, competitive technological advantage for the Firm and must also be skilled in translating the business requirements of the Firm into detailed user stories that can easily be interpreted by all of the project’s stakeholders. In tandem with effectively composing these requirements, the Project Manager is expected to provide anticipatory analytics on resource allocation, planning, budgeting, and executive reporting to IT departmental management. This position involves collaboration with all interdepartmental teams and team leadership and requires a nimble approach to multiple initiatives with simultaneous delivery expectations. 

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years recent experience providing hands-on project management within an Information Technology department, matrix managing both internal staff and external vendor contract teams
• Minimum of 5 years recent experience performing Project Management for Real Estate technology, including building out new offices and moving office locations, office connectivity, networking, hardware procurement and installation, as well as the integration, implementation, and upgrades of large enterprise-wide technologies with aggressive delivery goals. 
• Minimum of 5 years recent experience leading the integration, implementation, and extensive upgrades of large enterprise-wide Application and Infrastructure technologies with aggressive delivery goals. Coordinate technical aspects of building out new offices or moving office locations, including office connectivity, networking, and hardware procurement and installation
• Collaborate with vendors working in the new space, including architects, security, low voltage, cabling, hoteling, furniture installers, and property management
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience leading projects through Agile/Iterative/Hybrid methodologies, operating in a Scrum Master role when necessary to decompose high level project requirements into actionable Sprints and deliverables for the project teams
• Highly-proficient using JIRA software for project and task management 
• Adept in creating third party RFPs, Statements of Work, and adhering to in-house standards for product/vendor evaluation and selection 
• Leading contract negotiation and overseeing vendor resources for projects that fall outside of existing IT functional areas
• Exceptional composition, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Multi-tasker with ability to successfully manage numerous projects and tasks concurrently
• Motivated to educate and reinforce scrum methodology and Agile framework to team members and key stakeholders
• Experience transforming teams through technology, organization, culture, process, and business change management
• Solution-oriented with strong leadership skills and a passion for excellence
• Ability to inspire all levels of staff towards both tactical and strategic delivery goals
• Acute and thorough attention to detail and a propensity to exceed leadership’s expectations 
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a Computer Science or related field
• Scrum Master and/or PMP certification strongly desired
• Hands-on early career experience in a technical IT role preferred
• ITIL certification a plus
• Prior industry experience in Professional Services/Management Consulting or Financial Markets a plus
