Work Location detail:
~12-15 months: San Jose, CA. Address: 150 Baytech Drive, San Jose, CA 95134. Then, relocation to 4100 Hamline Ave N, Arden Hills, MN 55112.
About the role:
An opportunity for a buyer to exercise Capital Equipment purchasing skills, teamwork, problem solving and enhance their knowledge of the overall supply chain in a medical device manufacturing environment. Responsible for all aspects of materials, MRP analysis, Purchase orders and Logistics, Inventory optimization, PPV, EE&O, Project management and Invoices payment resolution.
Your responsibilities include:
- Plans, schedules and monitors materials to ensure proper inventory levels using the MRP.
- Interacts with suppliers for on time delivery scheduling.
- Works with multiple internal customers to facilitate the flow of material through the production cycle.
- Responsible for placing purchase orders for raw material in support of business requirements.
- Supports Finance on PPV and EE&O reporting.
- Works with Accounts Payables to resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
- Works closely with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards and materials specifications are being met.
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area supported.
- Detail-oriented individual with a strong ability to multitask.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree on Business Management, Industrial Engineering or related
- 8+ years of Purchasing work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP Experience (SAP preferred)
- Excel
- Project Management basic knowledge
- Reporting and data manipulation
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
