The Senior Director, Total Rewards NA serves as a strategic human resources leader and will be responsible for the design, implementation and communication of all NA HR Benefits, Compensation and Total Rewards programs. The Senior Director is responsible for ensuring our reward programs, including Benefits and Compensation, are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have an impact on short and long-term performance of the NA aligning to the AMAPAC region and organization. In addition, this role will oversee the HRIS and Payroll groups and work to enhance and harmonize policies across North America.

The incumbent must be proficient in interpreting and applying HR regulations and practices and posse in-depth working knowledge in the areas of HR policy, systems, compensation, benefits, tax, and employee communications. The role reports to the SVP, Global HR.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of our Benefit programs including health, welfare, wellness, retirement programs, relocation and payroll
  • Responsible for evaluating, benchmarking and implementing consistent HR policies and practices across North America
  • Partner with corporate and subsidiary leadership to leverage benefits programs to meet organizational objectives
  • Maintain current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, Worker’s Compensation, and other applicable Labor and/or Tax laws and regulations; fulfills compliance and reporting requirements
  • Oversee the management of our benefits vendor relationships, benefits contracts, and bid negotiation
  • Manage benefits process including but not limited to writing communication and enrollment materials, preparing for and conducts benefits training, revising benefit summaries, revising benefit orientation documents, insuring distribution and receipt of documents and processing changes with vendors
  • Resolve all benefits and payroll related issues that come through the HR Solutions Center – employee call center and manager hotline
  • Provide consultative support to the team through developing processes, documentation and ongoing compliance related matters so we can focus on speed scale and relevance
  • Drive the transformation of onboarding and offboarding experience and HR records administration and policy management
  • Manage a team of 6 to 7
  • Manage large, complex simultaneous assignments with potentially conflicting priorities and deadlines and work with stakeholders to prioritize to support vision, strategy and roadmap

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’d love to see candidates who have:

  • A BA/BS degree required in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration/Business Management or related discipline
  • MBA with HR/Management specialization is highly preferred
  • Minn of 12 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience designing and implementing broad-based benefit plans, payroll related matters
  • 6+ years people management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefits programs (Health, 401K, etc.) and experience working with external vendors and investment committees
  • The ability to influence and present to the Executive Committee and/or Compensation Committee
  • Professional certifications related to Compensation and/or Benefits is highly desirable
