Department Overview
The WGBH Education Department designs, produces, distributes and promotes free digital media resources to support innovative teaching and learning for all ages. Our interactive lessons, award-winning videos, and hands-on activities are designed for classrooms, homes, and community settings and delivered via mobile devices, online, and in print. Through in-person workshops, multimedia presentations, professional development, outreach campaigns, and other community engagement models, we enable our audiences to expand their knowledge, improve their skills, and enrich their lives. We are a partner with PBS in PBS LearningMedia (pbslearningmedia.org), a digital resources service/platform for K-12 education with 1.9 million registered users and more than 120,000 digital resources.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Digital Learning, the Senior Producer will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of pre-production, production, post -production and project management of educational digital media learning projects for distribution through PBS LearningMedia and other educational platforms that WGBH establishes or partners with. The Senior Producer will coordinate concept development, curriculum design, editorial and production activities on assigned projects. The Senior Producer will oversee the work of teams of media producers and associate producers, content developers, designers and developers who are directly responsible for production. The Senior Producer will coordinate the work of advisors and will work closely with Editorial Director to ensure writers and subject matter experts are identified and scheduled as necessary to complete project. The Senior Producer will also participate in project and grant development, representing WGBH on PBS LearningMedia committees and leveraging knowledge of trends in digital learning and user experience design best practices.

Educational Requirement
College degree required. MA or MS preferred. Project Management certification (or equivalent experience) a plus.
