We have just launched a new company called Civetta Therapeutics located in Cambridge, MA that was founded by William Sellers (Broad Institute and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute) and Eric Fischer (Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School). We are looking to engage a high-quality team of researchers to advance new medicines through small molecule intervention targeting propeller domains with the goal of developing important therapeutics for cancer and other indications. William Sellersis a core institute member of the Broad Institute ofMITandHarvard, a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, and faculty member and senior advisor to the president for experimental therapeutics at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Eric Fischer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School and an Independent Investigator, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • 25% to 75% bench work (Commensurate with experience and leadership qualifications)
  • Provides leadership to discovery project biology team
  • Evaluate novel therapeutic modalities
  • Contribute to leadership of target ID and validation
  • Contribute to Civetta Therapeutic strategic goals
  • Collaborate with Civetta R&D teams
  • Leads development and execution of biological drug cascade


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biology or related field with post-doc and 5-10 years of industry experience
  • Experience in all phases of drug discovery, with a track record of successful advancement of novel, first-in-class therapeutics
  • Experience with early stage research program(s) to identify and validate novel targets
  • Excellent project and personnel management and mentoring.
  • Integrity, collaboration, energy and drive
