Join us as a Software Test Automation Engineer and
you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Pittsburgh, PA.

As a Software Test Automation Engineer, you will be
responsible for performing formal testing of complex and safety-critical
application software for the railway field. The incumbent will work in a global
team to transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality
engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies. This
engineer will exhibit strong technical debugging skills that aid in finding
issues and determining the root cause of defects found in testing.


Create test specification based on the analysis of requirements, design,
architecture, and interface specifications.

Develop/create/setup automation test framework and test cases for
functional, performance and regression test execution.

Interpret functional requirements and design documents to plan, develop,
write, and execute application functional and data validation automation test
plans and test scripts.

Maintain automated tests and test framework.

Work with developers, project managers, technical writers, and other
individuals to collect all information necessary to create effective test
strategy, plans and automation scripts.

Integrate software testing tools with software build environments to
automatically execute the automation test scripts as part of post build

Ensure all automation testing produces accurate pass/fail reports.

Work with engineers to proactively understand the system, requirements to
make sure test cases are comprehensive.

interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Exhibit excellent
problem solving and diagnostic skills.


Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree Software
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical
- 2+ years of
experience writing Python test scripts for test automation of embedded software
- 2+ years of
experience with Agile development & testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience selecting
and setting up frameworks for test automation.
- Experience setting up
common test hardware, test jigs, and testing units.
- Experience with industrial products (such as
controllers, PLC, automation).
- Experience in testing of hardware, API/interfaces
to other devices.
