Job Description

Experience:  10-20 years in energy industry with roles in business development, product development, manufacturing, and/or sales.  Prefer experience in industrial valves segment of Oil and Gas industry with preference for experience in LNG / Cryogenics.

Focused on developing and profitably growing the business by understanding the market and how we fit with our current products and services, and implementing new products and services to strengthen our competitive position.

Initial focus will be on helping us grow our business in the industrial Valves market in upstream/midstream Oil and Gas and in downstream segments within refining, chemicals, and to develop new products and capabilities within LNG / cryogenics / etc.  Also includes industrial valves in other market segments.

Product Development Life-cycle:

•       Assess Markets

•       Technology, Products, Customers, Competitors

•       Create Strategy and Assess Feasibility

•       Economic forecast including development costs, capital investments, forecasted revenue, cost, gross margin, and profitability

•       Plan Product Release / Launch

•       Work with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Finance to implement associated projects and launch products in the market

•       Develop and Qualify Product Plan

•       Roll-out and Launch Product

•       Work with Marketing Communications to develop all hard/soft marketing materials and develop and implement Sales and Marketing strategy

•       Deliver / Maximize Business Result

•       Oversee and participate in Sales and Marketing activities to maximize demand creation and monitor operational excellence in delivering products vs. forecasted sales and costs

•       Apply Learnings:  Iterate back to prior steps as needed

•       Evaluate and apply learnings to improve the product line offerings, manufacturing capabilities, and Sales and Marketing strategies and tactics.
