Located in Calvert, 35 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades in the North America market.   • Support, lead, coach, and mentor the Purchasing Team (Materials) in major initiatives and projects including negotiation, preparation, and execution of contracts.
  • Manage sourcing commercial issues for commodities – including negotiation, preparation, and execution of contracts.



  • Provide leadership and management
  • Understand and build strategies for Materials sourcing. 
  • Promote AM/NS Calvert LLC Sourcing Methodology and reduce Total Cost of Use.
  • Research and provide market analysis for services and materials.
  • Identify, qualify, coach, and manage suppliers to deliver high quality and low cost.
  • Identify and drive commodity leverage opportunities.
  • Provide and maintain procurement data in SAP-MM, SRM and other ERP systems.
  • Review and maintain Contract in Contract Management System (CLM)
  • Provide a customer focus and result focus methodology to internal and external customers
  • Assure data accuracy, reporting, and compliance
  • Measure and maintain KPI goals and objectives
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving year-over-year cost reductions for material and services purchases.
  • Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Fulfills the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect
  • Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 17025:2017 



  • BS in Finance/Accounting, Engineering or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years sourcing experience in Construction/ Capital Equipment, Services
  • Good organizational and leadership skills, 1+ years of management experience
  • Strong project management skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven contract negotiation skills



  • Understanding of Contract/Legal Terminology and Language at an intermediate/proficient level.
  • PC and software literate, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relational databases.
  • Market and Industry research/analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices.
  • Bidding Platforms
  • SAP
  • Project Management/Analytical/Leadership skills.
  • Statistical Analysis

  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama
